I'm a curator in the Botany Department at the Field Museum of Natural History, and a lecturer/advisor in the Committee on Evolutionary Biology graduate program at the University of Chicago. My general interests lie in the evolution and diversification of flowering plants, especially with regard to systematics, biogeography, and phylogenetic comparative methods.
Brian Wray is an undergraduate intern from Northeastern Illinois University working on DNA sequencing and analysis for the Corydalis project.
Deren arrived in 2008 from the lab of Jeannine Cavender-Bares, with interests in the integration of phylogeny with studies of community ecology and functional trait evolution.
Jackie began her program in 2006 and is studying the systematics and evolution of Primula sect. Crystallophlomis, a group largely endemic to the eastern Himalaya. She is co-advised by Robie Mason-Gamer.
